TOUR ITINERARY
Scenic Drive and Introduction:
Enjoy a scenic one-hour drive to the volcanic area, taking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way. During the journey, your guide will provide an overview of the day’s itinerary, share essential safety information, and reveal fascinating insights about Mount Etna.
Cable Car Ride to 2500 m:
During the day tour we will visit Mt. Etna from its southern side and we will take the cable car, Funivia dell’Etna, from Rifugio Sapienza (1900 metres) to 2500 metres, and then start the tour.
Experience down from the 2500 m:
Venture into the heart of the volcanic desert, where you’ll walk across recent lava flows and witness the raw power of Mount Etna. Take in the stunning views of the Valle del Bove, a vast depression shaped by the collapse of an ancient volcanic structure.
A breathtaking perspective of the summit craters, the flank craters on the southern slopes, and an expansive view stretching along the Ionian Coast from Syracuse to Taormina. Conclude your adventure with a descent back to Rifugio Sapienza at 1,900 meters, traversing the sandy slopes of Rocca Sabbiosa and admiring the surreal landscapes of the Silvestri Craters.
Relax and Return to Catania:
Wind down and relax during the return journey to Catania, concluding the high-altitude trekking on Mount Etna.

A deposit of € 15,00 per person will be paid to the confirmation of your reservation.

Note: this tour is suitable for people used to walking and in good health. Not adapted for small kids.
The experience is flexible, can be tailored to suit your needs, including the extras.
Cancellations with less than 48 houres will result in the loss of the deposit.
